SCHOLAR'S CORNER
The Blessed Ivan Merz Scholarship Fund
The scholarship, established in 2003 as one of the apostolate’s first charitable endeavors, was inspired by Blessed Ivan’s own dedication to the education and formation of young people. It was designed to provide financial assistance to economically disadvantaged but deserving students in both basic and higher education, while also offering spiritual and leadership formation. Over the years, the program has supported scholars not only in their academic pursuits but also in their development as future leaders, educators, and catechists within the Church and society. From its beginnings as a small parish-based initiative, the Blessed Ivan Merz Scholarship has grown into a structured, mission-driven program integrated into the broader apostolic vision of the Blessed Ivan Merz Family, continuing to lead and educate young people to Jesus Christ.
Since 2017, the scholarship has proudly produced more than 20 college graduates (who are now working professionals). Some of which are registered nutritionist dieticians, registered social workers, and business administration graduates who are already joyously bringing Christ to their workplaces.
