Loving God, your servant Ivan Merz gave his life to you by abandoning worldly desires and dedicating his life in service out of love for You and his neighbor, especially the youth. He became an example for us on how to live our Christian life by receiving the Eucharist daily. He chose to consecrate himself with Christ as he took the vow of chastity. He helped in educating and forming young people of his time in faith and in Christian life, promoted liturgical renewal in his local Church, and served others to love and be faithful to the Pope, the Vicar of Christ on earth. By these humble acts that he has done,You chose your servant Ivan to be our model and our intercessor before you. Through his intercession, grant me the favor I request (here make your petition). Believing in your love and mercy for me and the youth of today, may Ivan Merz, the apostle of the youth, be soon numbered among your Saints in heaven. We ask this through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.

Lord, hear + my prayer and let my cry come unto you.

I humble myself before you, Almighty and Loving God, to beg for your mercy, love and protection for the Cause for Canonization of Blessed Ivan Merz and its apostolates here in the Philippines, my spiritual family. May you always be our leader and guide in our work for your Holy Church and for the expansion of your Kingdom. Lord Jesus Christ, in your mercy, dispel all curses, hexes, spells, evil tongues, evil intentions, rumors, and gossips that may hinder our mission to sanctify and save souls. Holy Spirit, burn in my mind, heart and soul the Divine Love to commit myself in this holy work in the spirit of your servant, Blessed Ivan Merz. Inspire and move all pastors in the Church to welcome our work and receive us with love, sincerity, and kindness. Amen.

May the Lord bless us +, protect us from all evil, and bring us to everlasting life. Amen..

Our Father. Hail Mary. Glory be.

O Blessed Virgin Mary, Mother and Queen of all Saints, you who were the first disciple of God’s will that all men be holy as he is holy through your outstanding obedience. Loving Mother, I come before you with love and trust to help me be holy and to lead me to a life of charity, purity, and humility. Holy men and women of sacred history called upon you and you never abandoned nor forsaken them. I trust in you, O Mother, and lead me to Jesus, your Son, the reward of all Saints in heaven and on earth.

O Mary, Mother and Queen of all Saints, pray for us who have recourse to you. Amen.

O blessed souls, chosen ones, faithful children of God most holy, I praise the Lord for the great work he has done for the world, especially in giving you honor and reward to be with him in his kingdom and to serve as our model of true Christian life. I pray to please help me follow God’s will, to serve him and the Church, to extend my time, talents, and treasures to those in need, and to be faithful to my baptismal promises. May I always be reminded of my true vocation to be a saint, whatever status of life I have at present, so that when the time for me comes, I will be with you in God’s kingdom with Mother Mary, Saint Joseph, and all the angels praising God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit forever and ever. Amen.

O dear Blessed Ivan, I humbly ask you to help me at this time of (mention your need like sickness, problems, etc.). Pray for me that I may succeed not with my own strength but because of God’s kindness and love for me and your prayers and merits. With this present experience, may I, who suffer, cling always to the hands of God, strengthen my faith and confidence to him, to feel that he is present always in my heart and really loves me in the midst of my human weaknesses. Amen.

Protect, O Lord, Holy Father, your holy servants from those who will desecrate their name and remains. Guard the sanctity of their earthly remains for it is holy. Banish the evil intentions of those who desire to have them in possession. May the prayers of the Saints in glory whom we venerate, propagate, and safeguard, with all the angels in heaven, help those who serve the Church in their cause.

We ask this through Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, God forever and ever. Amen.

Loving God, we praise and thank you for the gift of Sacred Relics to the Church. These relics are visible signs of your love to your people for it remind us of our vocation, to be Saints – to be holy as you are holy, and that our body is truly the temple of the Holy Spirit. Men and women of different time, status, and race heeded the call of your Son to love you and their neighbors especially the least, the last and the lost. We humbly come before you to seek for forgiveness because some people committed sacrileges toward your precious gifts, the Sacred Relics.

  • Forgive us because some people do forget that sacred relics are remains of your holy servants.
  • Forgive us because some people do forget that our body, dead or alive, is sacred for it is sanctified with your divine grace especially through the sacraments.
  • Forgive us because some people collect relics and tend to forget that doing such sacrilegious act has deplorable consequences as taught by Holy Mother Church.
  • Forgive us because some people use relics for their own bene- fits, some sell it and others engaged with trade using these sacred gifts.
  • Forgive us because some people lied just to have them for their own enjoyment and tend to forget that relics are for the Church, the people of God.
  • Forgive us because those private individuals who has relics in our country are divided, they believe so much in their own capacity and knowledge thus neglecting the teachings of the Church. They tend to forget that the presence of relics in their life is a challenge to have good and Christian attitudes. Enlighten them; unite them under the Name of Jesus.
  • Forgive us because we do not respect the relics conscientiously. That respecting and cherishing relics express how we respect and cherish human life from conception until death.
  • Forgive us because we tend to forget that relics are channels of your graces because these are remains of your holy servants now living in your kingdom.

Send the Holy Spirit to remind us to do what is right and enlighten the minds of those people who desecrate Sacred Relics so that they may return to you with humble and contrite heart.

May all Holy Men and Women, pray for us especially those who desecrate sacred relics. May we always be reminded that Sacred Relics are treasures of our faith, of our Church, that need protection and veneration.

We ask this through Our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.
